Julius"Jules" Vilmos Turcsanyi , 81, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2019. Jules was a devoted husband, loving father, and a loyal friend to all. Born in Buffalo, New York on November 20, 1937, he spent his early childhood years in Lorain, Ohio. He moved to Smithville, Ohio in his late teens, and finally, chasing his dreams, he moved his family to Florida where he resided for 51 years, the last 27 years in Mount Dora.
Jules began his career as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker. With many lifelong accomplishments, he proudly retired in 1996 from Martin Marietta, Orlando Florida, as an Operations Manager. Besides work, Jules always belonged to a service club, loved to research and study Ancient Florida Native American Inhabitance, collect Pre-Civil War military buttons, collecting old coins, metal detecting, archeological excavation of Florida fossils, raise and breed tropical fish, salt and fresh water fishing, and restoring pre 1950's cars. He was proud to be a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora.
Jules is survived by his wife Jackie Johnson; 3 daughters and a son: Cheryl Stizlein(Michael), Christine Conduff(Philip), Jeanette Jackson(Dana), and Paul Turcsanyi. ; 7 Grandchildren: Emily Watson(Evan), Jason Lepore(Ariel), C. Philip Conduff, Alisha Powers(T.J.), Douglas Lepore, Natalie Dulaney(Zac), and Andrea Stizlein; 5 great grandchildren: Ellie Watson, Dorothy Lepore, Marina Lepore, Xenia Lepore, and River Powers: brother, David Tursan(Kay) and twin sisters Diane Bowman(Harry), and Vilma McMonigle(Dan). He is preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Julius V. and Erma Turcsanyi.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Mount Dora, 439 East 5 th Avenue, Mout Dora, Florida 32757 on Friday October 4 th , 2019 at 3:00PM. The family will welcome visitors 2 hours prior to the service.
