Karen "KZ" Zuckerman went up to the spirit in the sky the evening of August 2nd, 2018, peacefully and surrounded in love by her husband of 15 years, Jerry, and their dogs, Peewee, Sammy, and Ziggy.

KZ was born at the right time, her eyes as clear as centuries, on March 6th, in Winchester, Virginia to Irvin Phillip and Jean Patricia Zuckerman.  But time makes you bolder, children get older, and KZ got older, too.  As an adult, KZ found her passion in music, and wild horses couldn't drag her away.

KZ was an incredibly talented guitar player, singer, and songwriter.  She played a 12 string guitar for 40 years, a rare choice for a woman.  She was a professional musician, gaining friends and fans along the way. And hey, ain't it good to know you've got a friend?  Her favorite venues to play at were the Mill Top in St. Augustine, and The Frog and Monkey and The Frosty Mug, both in Mount Dora.

KZ is survived by her husband, Jerry Weaver; sister Sam (Jack), sisters in law Diana (Jeff), and Rita (Patrick), brother in law Richard; nephews Phillip (Jenni), Chad (Lisa), Todd (Stephanie), Jeff, Joshua (Danielle), nieces Beth (Dewey), and Jennifer (Dave); grand nieces Elise, Rosalie, Taylor, Scarlett, Amelia, and Gemma, and grand nephews William and Jasper.

There will be a memorial service for KZ at 11 am on August 11th at Hickory Point Recreation Facility at 27141 State Road 19, in Tavares, Florida.  The family asks that any of KZ's many musician friends feel free to bring their instruments and play to honor her memory.
