Rehbaum, Katherine loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and longtime Mount Dora resident, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2015 following a long, productive and happy life. She was 98.
Born July 1917 in Palatka to a Florida pioneer family, she was a native Floridian. She was the daughter of Katie and Albert O Martin of Apopka, and sister of Lt Albert O Martin, Jr. Katherine graduated from Apopka High School and received a degree in music from Stetson University.
In 1938 she married Alfred W Rehbaum Jr and spent the remainder of her life in Mt Dora.
Katherine served many years as the pianist for the Mt Dora Lions Club and Mt Dora Kiwanis. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt Dora, Ocklawaha Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lakes & Hills Garden Club-Founders Circle, Tri-Delta sorority, Mt Dora Yacht Club and Humane Society of Lake County.
Katherine is survived by her daughter Mary Kay Wareing. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Rehbaum Jr, and son Alfred Rehbaum III, and grandchild Rebecca Howard. MamaKay will be remembered by her grandchildren Carolyn Rehbaum, Allison Rehbaum, Charles Wareing Jr, Meredith Russ, Martin Wareing, Katherine Conner and Mary White, and eleven great-grandchildren.
