Leda E. (Tusie) Menne was born August 22, 1932 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Leonard and Nellie Waltz. She passed away on April 13, 2022 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She met her husband Wayne in the fifth grade and they later became high school sweethearts. They were married at the age of 18 and became the proud parents of three beautiful daughters.

Tusie was predeceased by her mother and father, two sisters, one brother and daughter Karen L. (Bruce) McAlexander. She is survived by her husband of over 71 years, Wayne; daughter Judy A. (Tim) Lantz; daughter Gail D. (Jim) Bowman; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Tusie was the devoted wife of a military officer, enduring frequent moves and periods of separation as a result of her husband's duty assignments. She loved volunteering as a hospital Pink Lady, teacher's aide, Girl Scout leader, library volunteer, airport docent and museum docent. She loved lawn bowling, playing games and was an avid reader.

Tusie was an active member of the Mount Dora First United Methodist Church and the Mount Dora Kiwanis Club. She served as a United Methodist Women's Circle leader and on numerous church and Kiwanis committees.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church on April 30, 2022 at 11:00am. A reception in the Fellowship Hall to follow. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Mount Dora Kiwanis Club.
