Linda Byrd "Mama" was called home to heaven on October 9, 2021 from her residence in Sorrento, Florida.

Linda Byrd was born on February 19,1948 in Enterprise, Alabama to James Albert Carr and Lela Mae Worthington who preceded her in death.

Linda was a retired School Bus Driver for Orange County Public Schools Transportation. She was with the County for a total of 27 years.

Her interests include playing her pogo games with her daughter Joy. She loved eating and family gatherings. She was always watching Hallmark Mysteries or Westerns.

She always devoted her time and energy  to her family and friends. Her Sass made you smile at any given moment. Her and her daughter Krista's favorite quote was "Hot Damn! We Got This!"

She is survived by her four girls Patricia (Richard) Wiseman, Veronica Joy Jordan, Victoria Lynn Boddy (Clifford Barber) and Krista (Joe) Leonard. Her seven Grandbabies Shelly Day (Jeremiah Tucker) James (Malissa) Bennett, Amanda (Isaac) Roig, Richard Jordan, Brandy (Justin) Cote, Kelsie Cole and Joseph Leonard. Also her six Great Grandbabies Ethan Bennett, Emily Day, Lanae Bennett, Zayden Roig, James Roig and Emmett Tucker.

Funeral Service for Mama will be conducted on October 15, 2021. Viewing will be held from 5pm-7pm. Service will follow directly after at 7pm.
