Linda J. Kaminski, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully on June 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends; she was 79 years old.
Born in Toledo, Ohio on February 21, 1947, to George and Emma Seymour, Linda eventually found her home in the sunshine of Clermont, Florida — a place that suited her vibrant, warm spirit perfectly.
Linda spent years dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of others as a crossing guard for the Orange County Sheriff's Department, a role she carried out with warmth and unwavering commitment. Her service was recognized in 2023 when Sheriff John Mina presented her with a Meritorious Service Award — a well-deserved honor for a woman who gave that job everything she had. She retired in 2024, leaving behind a lasting impression on the children, families, and colleagues whose lives she touched.
Linda was also an entrepreneur at heart. For several years during the 1980’s and 1990’s, she owned and operated Tigers, a bar in Orlando, Florida — a lively chapter of her life that those who were there will never forget.
Linda lived life fully and joyfully. She cherished her friendships at Madison at Clermont, stayed active, and had a gift for making people feel at ease and cared for. Her presence made every room a little brighter.
Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin "Sonny" Kaminski, and her son, Robbie V. Kaminski.
She is survived by her son, Chris, and his wife, Jackie; daughter-in-law, Lourdes Kaminski, and her grandchildren, Joshua and Alyssa.
Linda's life will be celebrated as follows:
A Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, from 5PM to 7PM at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home located at 1800 N. Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, Florida 32757. Mom, you ran your race with grace, grit, and a whole lot of love. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Arrangements are under the careful care of Allen J. Harden Funeral Home.
