IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda
Umholtz
June 5, 1937 – February 24, 2022
On February 24, 2022, Linda Umholtz passed away peacefully at the age of 84. Linda was the mother of Lauralyn Lane, Kurt Umholtz and Valerie Phillips. She was the grandmother of Virginia Lane, Victoria Lane, Lauren Umholtz, Rachel Umholtz, Alyssa Phillips and Kristina Phillips. Also survived by her sister Betsy Shimkus.
Linda spent most of her life in Shutesbury Massachusetts where she raised her children, enjoyed her passion for Arabian horses, gardening, and time with special friends. She also loved to watch sporting events and cheer her favorites on!
Linda's professional life was something she worked hard at, and worked her way up to the position of Health Care Administrator for Kaiser Permanente for many years. As an accomplished artist she was commissioned by several individuals to do portraits of their horses, as well as illustrated a children's book "A Wish Upon a Star" that her daughter Valerie had written.
Her time in Florida was a six year battle with Parkinson's, which she fought with great determination. She will be missed by many, and leaves wonderful lasting memories for all of those who she touched during her life. We all will always wish upon a star when we look at the night sky thinking of her!
Her family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Parkinson's Organization. Thank you!
