Louise Wilkes, 84, of Mount Dora, FL passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013.

Born in Memphis, TN on October 17, 1928 to Charles and Beulah Collins. She was married to Elmo Wilkes on 10-21-1947. They moved to FL in the early 1980's to Lake county.

Preceded in death in 1993, by her spouse of 45 years, Elmo Wilkes. She was also preceded in death by 2 children; Julia Adelle and Delana Louise, and one grandchild Nathaniel.

She had completed 2 years of college and she worked as an Administrative Assistant most of her life, usually in the healthcare industry. She raised a large, close family.

Louise is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters: Michael Wilkes of Mass; Angela Read of Mt Dora, FL; Patrick Wilkes of Nevada; and Dessie Romero of Okahumpka, FL. She also is survived by 21 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing to begin at 5 PM Thursday, 1-10-13 with memorial service starting at 6 PM at MT Dora SDA Church, Highway 441, Mt Dora, FL.

Burial service at 11 AM, Friday, 1-12-13 at Mascotte Cemetery, Highway 50, Mascotte, FL.

In lieu of flowers donations may made to Mt Dora SDA Church, American Diabetes Association, or St Jude's Hospital in Memphis, TN.
