Marjorie "Margie" Ruth Grinnell, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 in AdventHealth Rollins in Orlando. She is survived by her children, Jim Daugherty and Stephanie Wallis and brothers, John and Charlie Grinnell.

Margie was a career school teacher from 1981 to 2009 and earned a master's degree while juggling responsibilities as a single mother of two. She won Teacher of the Year several times. After retiring from teaching, she continued volunteer work with children's education and served as secretary of the Zellwood Historical Society. Margie was a competition water skier and advanced to National Women's slalom several times.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 North Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in honor of Margie to the Zellwood Historical Society, P.O. Box 1186, Zellwood, Florida 32798.
