On May 24, 2021, Mary Ann Lowe, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away at age 79.
Mary was born on October 7, 1941 in Ohio to Edward Raymond and Evea Mae (Taft) Matzinger. Mary grew up with 11 brothers and sisters who she cherished with her whole heart. At the age of 17, Mary married her husband of over 60 years, Francis Drew Lowe. Mary had a passion for giving. She also loved to shop, and she combined those two favorite hobbies by going to garage sales and finding gifts to donate to anyone in need. Her giving spirit was admired not only by friends and family, but also by all who received her gifts and saw her infectious smile when ever she was around. She was also an avid music lover and a collector of Conway Twitty memorabilia. She was known for her banana pudding, her love of her family, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Edward, her mother, Evea, her daughter, Kimberly Reynolds, her brothers Melvin, Edward Jr., and James, and her sisters, Margaret, Elizabeth, Bonnie, and Barbara. She is survived by her husband, Francis, her children, Terry Lowe and Larry Lowe, her grandchild and his wife, Nicholas Reynolds and Rebecca Reynolds, her brother, John Matzinger, her sisters, Verna, Alice, and Shirley, and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be given by Reverend Earl Wright at Lake Haven Church 801 East Orange Avenue, Eustis, FL 32726 on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at noon. Interment will be held immediately after at Sorrento Cemetery 8430 Oak Lane Sorrento, FL 32776. Flower donations are under the direction of Allen J. Harden Funeral Home 1800 North Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, FL 32757.
