Muriel Joyce Bower, 77, of Eustis passed away Friday, December 6, 2013. Born in Clarence, New York, she had been a resident of this area for many years. Prior to retirement, she was a Guidance Department secretary in the field of public education. She was of the Lutheran faith and attended St. Philip Lutheran Church, Mount Dora. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger E. Bower of Eustis, 3 sons: Lowell Douglas Bower, Orlando, Lance David (Stacy) Bower, Astatula, Florida & Eric Michael (Karen) Bower, Ocoee, Florida, 1 sister: Shirley Jean Regan, Clermont, Florida: 1 Granddaughter: Allyson (Mike) Steele, Merritt Island, Florida, 1 Grandson; Lance Michael Bower & 1 Great-Grandson: Luke Alexander Bower, Merritt Island. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2013 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 North Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, Florida with Rev. Dr. Johan Bergh of St. Philip Lutheran Church, Mount Dora officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on the day of service. Further services and interment will take place in Newstead, New York under the direction of Bernhardt Funeral Home.
