Mount Dora

Obituary

Nancy Margaret (Davis) (Kloack) Kabza, 81, of Mount Dora, Florida, died on August 23, 2026, in Mount Dora.

Nancy was born on March 3, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, to William Davis and Beulah (Collins) Davis. Over the course of her life, she also made her home in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Charlotte, North Carolina, before living in Mount Dora, Florida.

Nancy served as Assistant Director of Human Resources for Kalamazoo County before becoming Chief Executive Officer of her family business, Cana Carolina Corp./SpecGuy, a consulting firm serving the construction industry. She was active in several professional associations and was a gifted public speaker. She also served as a church youth leader and was an avid quilter. Her years in human resources made her a natural interviewer with a genuine interest in people. If you met her in the store, she had a way of leaving the conversation knowing more about you than you ever imagined you would tell a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Kabza; her sons, Michael Kloack (Christine) of East Lansing, Michigan, Brian Kloack (Emily) of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, and Aaron Kloack of Marshall, Michigan; her stepson, Andrew Kabza (Jessie) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and eleven grandchildren.

Nancy will be remembered with love for her leadership, creativity, warmth, and abiding curiosity about the lives of others. Even late into her illness, she established loving bonds with her wonderful care aides, Tonya Cervantes and Hannah Hunket.

In memory of Nancy and her Dora Doodle, the family would be grateful for contributions to your local Humane Society or animal shelter.

Arrangements are under the careful care of Allen J. Harden Funeral Home.
