Nile Norman Mott, died December 5, 2014 from injuries in MVA. He was born to Clinton and Ruth Mott on March 11, 1940 in Mason City, Iowa. Grew up in Iowa; married and moved with his family to Florida for 25+ years. He spent the last 18 years in Northwest Washington.
He is survived by his loving wife Elaine of 52 years, two daughters Trella Mott and Tressa and husband Jamie Hamrick. Granddaughters Breanna Ponder, Lindsay Ponder Curry, and Taylor Hamrick. Grandson-in-laws Erik Hindmon and Cameron Curry. He welcomed the most recent pride and joy of the family great grandson Carson Hindmon, son of Breanna and Erik. He is also survived by brothers Don Mott and Tom Mott, sisters Sue Foens and Carolyn Mott & families; many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and life long friends that were loved as family.
He believed in laughter as the most important thing in lasting relationships and essential for a happy life. He loved all his "Girls"! He was also known as a "Sweetie", Dad, Papa, "G-Papa" and a true and loyal friend.
His life was full of love from family and friends; his joy of travling & exploring; seeking and sharing of History & knowledge; giving of gifts and himself to others. He excelled at his secret passion to be a travel guide and host. Many can share of his tours and stays at the Mott Bed & Breakfast.
He also enjoyed following the Seahawks, Mariners, Noles, Gators, and Hawkeyes.
More importantly; he lived for and will always be remembered for making his family Happy, safe, and truly loved. Nothing was more important.
