Nolan U. Joy, 79, of Leesburg, FL, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016. Nolan was born in Johnsonville, SC on March 3, 1937. He was a retired Air Force Master Sargent and retired Horticulture Instructor with Lake County Vocational Technical Center.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty D. Joy, his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and John Heffler, his son, Bryan Joy, and his grandchildren, Meredith Strickland and Gavin Heffler, brothers David Joye, Furman Joye, Ray Joye, and Al Joye, and sister, Jewell Hagmeier, and their respective spouses.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 N. Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, FL. Services will follow at 2:00 pm with the graveside burial immediately thereafter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
