Obituary

Noland Hubert Coward passed away at 96 years young, in Winter Haven,
FL, on July 19, 2017.

He was born on June 24, 1921 in High Point, NC, to his parents, Manson and Grace Coward.

Noland served in the United States Army as a sergeant for Troop F, 5th Calvary Regiment 1st Cavalry Division. He served in other branches of the service including the Coast Guard and U.S. Navy.

HIs passion for aviation brought him to the "Sunshine State" to pursue a long and fulfilling career as a sheet metal mechanic with Eastern Airlines in Miami, FL.

Noland is survived by his children, Wanda C. Milligan of Lake Alfred, FL,
Bruce N. Coward of Miami, FL, and Nancy J. Wintter of Walnut Creek, CA.

He has 7 grandchildren, Dr. Maahir Haque of Orlando, FL, Sameera Troesch of New York City, New York, Kristin Alapisco of Morganton, NC, Alexandra Coward of Los Angeles, CA, Steven Coward of Brooklyn, New York, Ernst (Skip) Wintter of Indio, CA, and Luke Wintter of Stockholm, Sweden.

Also, great-grandfather to 5, including Safia Haque, Humza Haque, Leo Troesch, Ayah Idris, and Kaelynn Alapisco.

Noland was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, June Straub Coward of Dallastown, PA and his eldest daughter, Dramma June Haque of Wellington, FL.

Noland will always be remembered for his "winning smile", for his loving devotion to his wife and family, and for his loyalty to his many friends.
