Patricia (Broderick) Ariola, 87, of Leesburg, Florida, entered into the gates of heaven on Saturday, July
18, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was born in Waterbury on October 29, 1932, daughter of the late John and Hazel (Green)
Broderick. Growing up in Waterbury, Patricia graduated from Wilby High School and then worked as a
Directory Assistance Operator for the Southern New England Telephone Company, and married Paul
Ariola in 1951. Upon Paul's retirement, as a lieutenant, from the Waterbury Police Department, Patricia
transferred to BellSouth until her retirement in 1991.
Patricia leaves 6 children and their families to cherish her memory, Michele Falcone of Leesburg, FL, Paul
and Joanne Ariola of Watertown, CT, Jacqueline and Paul Mastrangeli of Polk City, FL, Toni and Robert
Murphy of Leesburg, FL, Joseph and Mary Ariola of Waterbury, CT, Patricia and Tony Cerullo of Prospect,
CT., her 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and their families, as well
as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law Patrick Falcone, her brother John,
and her sisters Joan and Sheila.
