Obituary

Peter Terence Keilty was born in Liverpool, England in 1936.  At the young age of 16, Pete joined the British Royal Airforce.  When on leave from the RAF, at a dance in the Tower Ballroom in New Brighton, he met Hilary.  Just two years later, they eloped to Scotland and the most beautiful journey began.  Pete and Hilary have been together for over 57 years, a love to cherish, a never ending friendship.  They lived in England together with beloved family and close friends for many years.

Pete had a dream to live in the United States, a dream of sunshine and opportunity.  In 1980, Pete and Hilary moved to New York with 3 daughters; Philippa, Heather and Beverley.

After 22 wonderful years raising the girls on Long Island, Hilary and Pete decided it was time to embark on their next adventure.  They spent 18 years wintering in Spain, making lifelong friends and creating treasured memories with friends and visits from their daughters and all of their grandchildren.

In the past few months, Pete and Hilary settled in Mount Dora, FL, where they are surrounded by new friends who have quickly become like family.

Pete was the loving Father to Philippa Keilty, Heather Flickinger and Beverley Greenfield.  Father-in-Law to Robert Flickinger and William Greenfield.  Adored Poppop to Morgan, Nicholas, Cameron and Chloe Mastrangelo and Ryan Greenfield.  Brother to Mary Keilty Goulder, Pauline Gulbransen and the late Tony Keilty.  Brother-in-Law to Martie Keilty, Ann and Ken Mort and the late Jan Gulbransen.  Uncle to Gavan Goulder, Lise and Paul Gulbransen, Tony and Christine Keilty and Craig Mort.
