Mrs. Phyllis Avant Woody passed away peacefully on April 4, 2016 at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL. She was born in De Funiak Springs, FL on August 29, 1945 to the late Ada and T.L. Avant. She was a member of the Mount Dora Church of Christ.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Richard J. Woody; her three sons and two daughters- in-law, Christopher A. Woody and his wife Elizabeth C. Woody, Richard K. Woody and his wife Elizabeth A. Woody and Timothy S. Woody and six grandchildren, Sarah, Sophia, Javier, Emily, Landon and Jaycee.

A viewing will be held at 1:00 pm on April 7, 2016 at Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 N. Donnelly Street, Mount Dora, FL 32757. The funeral service will be held after the viewing.
