Randy Fizer, 71, of Mount Dora, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on April 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 20, 1953, in Montgomery, West Virginia, and was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lucille Fizer. He is survived by his husband, Paul; his sister, Karen; his daughter, Traci; and his cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Bailey, and Taylor.
Randy was a proud graduate of the West Virginia Institute of Technology. He provided over 25 years of dedicated professional service to the Department of Navy at Naval Air Station Key West, retiring in 2011. After his retirement, Randy, Paul, and their beloved dog, Bella, moved to Mount Dora to enjoy a well-deserved life of fun, adventure, and relaxation.
A man of many passions, Randy was a multidisciplinary artist, avid reader, photographer, and antique collector. Randy was also an enthusiastic traveler, having explored much of the United States and visited multiple countries. He deeply loved discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting people from all walks of life. Whether it was a cross-country road trip or an international adventure, Randy cherished the memories and stories his travels brought him.
Randy's family was his heart, and his love for family and friends was boundless. He leaves a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for those he loved. His infectious smile, easygoing nature, thoughtful heart, and warm spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held at The Historic Glen Ferris Inn in Glen Ferris, West Virginia, on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Randy's memory will live on in the stories shared by his loved ones, the art he created, the photographs he took, the treasures he collected, and the friends he made throughout his lifetime.
