Obituary

Reginald Philip Brooks, affectionately known as Reg, was born on March 16, 1939, to parents Elsie Brooks and Reynold Magloire in Dominica.

Reg spent his childhood and teen years in St. Martin, where he attended public and private schools. As a teenager, he worked for his uncle as a typewriter technician and at the Princess Juliana International Airport as an airport marshal.

He migrated to the United States as a young man, where he was employed by Berkey Photo Marketing. He worked there for over 25 years, earning the coveted Salesman of the Year award several times. He then branched out on his own working in the photography business until he retired in 2008.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved listening to music, especially Frank Sinatra. He loved watching baseball, football and cricket.

From his previous marriage, he had two daughters: Dr. Gizelle Brooks-Carter and Cherilyn Brooks.

He later married Monica Romney in 1999. She was literally by his side until the Lord called him home on November 22, 2022, after a long battle with his health. He is now at peace. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
