Robert Michael Lopes, Jr. passed away peacefully on August 12th, 2017 at his home with his loving family -- his wife, Jane Curtis Lopes, his daughter, Margaret Amanda Vincent, his two sons, James Joseph and Wade Thomas Lopes, as well as his sister-in-law, Susan Curtis.

He was born on August 18th, 1970 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Robert Michael Lopes, Sr. and Vicki (Grillo) West. Robert is survived by both his parents along with his step-father, Russell Thomas.

He is also survived by his sisters, Sheri (Lopes) Pelkey and Amanda Lopes, his brother Tyler Lopes, his nieces, Carah (Cantillon) Chapman, Leah & Morgan Beauregard, his nephew Spencer Pelkey, as well as his great niece Charlotte Chapman, and numerous other relatives.

Robert grew up in both Massachusetts and Florida and graduated from Mount Dora High School in 1988. He remained in Lake County where he provided for his family as a Pool Service Technician/Contractor and was well known for his culinary aptitude in local Mount Dora restaurants and as a personal chef.

Robert was a great family man, a loving father and husband. He married Jane in 1994 and they raised three children together. He thoroughly enjoyed socializing with family and friends and deeply enjoyed creating laughter at any gathering. He will always be remembered as a quick-witted, loving, caring, and joyous person.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mary Of The Lakes Church in Eustis, Florida on Tuesday, August 29th at 11:00 AM.
