Robert "Bobby" Wilkes Moore, 78, son of George L. Moore Sr and Elenora Wilkes Moore, went home to our Lord Thursday, February 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Royce Ann, and his elder brother, George "Jack" Moore. He is survived by his sister, Marilou Brehm, 85, of Tavares, FL. His daughter, Kimberly Kowal, and her husband Mark of Jacksonville, FL. His son, Kevin Robert Moore, 49, and his wife, Laura, and their two children: Andrew Robert, 14, and Lily Rosemary, 12, of Tavares, FL.
Bobby moved with his family from Brownsville, PA at the age of 9 to Orlando. As a longtime resident, he graduated from Boone High School, was a member of Rio Pinar Country Club, Kiwanis Club and a deacon at Concord Street Church of Christ. He remained in Orlando until his wife's death in 2005. He relocated to Tavares to be near his grandchildren, who he spent endless hours doting on. Bobby served our country in the U.S. Marine Reserves. He dedicated the majority of his career to Hughes Supply company. He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman.
Funeral services will be held at Orange Avenue Church of Christ, 1511 East Orange Avenue Eustis, FL 32726 on Monday, February 19, 2018. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by the service at 11am. There will be a private graveside service for the family immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice in Robert Moore's name in honor of the care and respect they showed him.
