Russell "Ted" Elliott passed away on January 22, 2014 after a long illness. He was born on April 9, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio to Russell T. Elliott Sr. and Emma Dorsey Elliott.

He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Seabees. After a career as a salesman at Elliott Sales Service, Gallucci Chevrolet and Hebert Business Furniture in Ohio, he retired to Mount Dora FL in 1988.

He was an Elder at First Christian Church in Medina, OH and at Central Christian Church in Mount Dora FL. He was active in Rotary, serving the Mount Dora chapter as Secretary for 22 years and twice being named Rotarian of the Year.

Mr. Elliott is survived by daughters Marcia (Howard) Brownstein of Naples FL and Portia Russell of Bakersfield CA, as well as by four grandchildren. His beloved wife Barbara Gibbs Elliott passed away in 2013.

Services will be held in Medina at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome contributions to The Rotary Club of Lake County Golden Triangle, P.O. Box 850.
