Shirley R. Wagoner, 85, of Mt. Dora, FL passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Cornerstone Hospice House in Tavares, FL.
Born February 25, 1929 in Wichita, KS, she was the daughter of Lloyd A. Callen and Bernice V. Callen (Cloud). The family moved to Scott City, KS where Shirley grew up and lived until marriage. She attended Christian College (now Columbia College) in Columbia, MO.
Shirley came to Mt. Dora in 1994 from Lafayette, LA. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the 9 Hole Ladies group. She was a Hospice volunteer, a voracious reader and an avid Civil War historian.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 62 years, Henry E. Wagoner, Jr.; daughter Kyle Ann Percival; Olathe, KS; daughter Amy L. Wagoner, Maitland, FL; son and daughter-in-law Kevin C. and Angelena A. Wagoner (Huval) Youngsville, LA; grandson Trent J. Percival, Olathe, KS; 2 great-granddaughters Chyler and Chandi Percival, Leawood, KS; and her younger sister Barbara J. Clark, Carthage, MO. Her older sister Mary Lee Keeling, Baker, FL, preceded her in death.
Allen J. Harden Funeral Home of Mt. Dora, FL will handle her cremation and memorial service.
