O ur dear mother Susan Brown sadly passed away on May 25, 2022, at the age of 75. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her. She was predeceased by her father George , mother Joan, and dog Oliver .  She is survived by her husband of 52 years , Richard, sister Wendy, daughters Lisa (Bill), Kyra (Ryan) , and Kim, grandson Vedder , and granddaughter Kestrel.

Mom loved reading, gardening, and sharing her homemade cookies with her grandchildren. She possessed a special affinity with all animals her entire life, starting from her early childhood introduction to horses and continuing through her adulthood with countless rescues of small creature s in need. In retirement , she tirelessly tend ed to her many birdfeeders, ensuring the birds were always taken care of . She and Dad me t on the Bay S hore H igh S chool bus in 19 6 2 . They married and start ed their family together there in New York, then continued the ir life adventure in sunny Florida . Mom enjoyed traveling out west with Dad , casinos on cruises , and family canasta games in mountain top cabins.  She was a great cook who cr eated special birthday dinners and always thoughtfully considered the cards and gifts she gave. Her children inherited her work ethic, her love of animals , and her appreciation of the magic of words.  Susan's gentle presence will be greatly missed.
