Victor J.W. Dick's Obituary
Victor J.W. Dick, 88, of Mount Dora, FL, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
He was born in Scone Perthshire, Scotland on March 7, 1924 to the late Jack and Elizabeth Watson Dick.
He served in the British Navy and was a member of the Church of Scotland. Victor moved to Mount Dora in 1980 from Clearwater, FL where served as the President of the Clearwater Rotary Club. After moving to Mount Dora he joined the Mount Dora Rotary Club where he also served as President. Victor graduated from the University of Glasgow where he studied aeronautical engineering. He was loved by his family friends and neighbors. He served as the Vice President and manager of Morgan Stanley and Dean Witter Investment firms for many years before his retirement.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife of 59 years Elizabeth Dick. He is survived by his current wife Audrey Shaw Dick and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at 11AM at the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home, 1800 N. Donnelly St. Mount Dora, FL.
The family requests that donations to be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
