Virginia E. Gougeon

Virginia Ellen was born to Mary E. and Earl A. Gougeon, the youngest of their four children. She grew up in the family home on King's Highway in Wyandotte, MI and later in life, she moved to join her parents in Mt. Dora, FL. Virginia was the very proud mother and grandmother to her daughter, Snow, and her husband and their sons. She leaves behind her sister, Cecilia Swanger (Tecumseh, MI) and her oldest brother, Bernard Gougeon (Eustis, FL), plus thirteen nieces and nephews across the country who, with their families, miss her already. Virginia's beloved husband, Lee Jacobs (Mt. Dora, FL), her parents, Earl and Mary, and her brother, Michael Gougeon (WA) await her in the next life. Virginia had various jobs over the years, from Crane Operator at the Great Lakes Steel mill, to a valued operating room Nurse. Her career, the work she really shined at, was talking with people, making good friends and caring for them.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 7th, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church beginning at 9am. The location of the church is 6803 Old Hwy 441, Mount Dora, FL 32757.
