Virginia Gregg Landis Proctor, born January 1, 1940, in Grand Ridge FL, passed away on August 11, 2016 in Tavares FL. She attended Mt Dora High School where she met her first husband. As she raised her family she started working for Mid-Florida Gas, in Mount Dora, where she eventually became the Office Manager and retired when the company became AmeriGas.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Roy E Landis Sr., her second husband Paul Proctor, daughter Terri Lynn Landis Briand and grandson T.J. Landis. She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Gregg and Carlous Fisher of Florida and a brother Dalton Gregg of North Carolina. Her remaining children, sons, Roy E (Paula) Landis Jr., of Melbourne, FL, Anthony E. (Yvonne) Landis of Cowen TN, and daughter, Jerri L (Emily) Illes-Landis of Waconia MN. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, the extended Proctor family, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Virginia is and will be remembered by all she touched, either through her school days, work or retirement.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home in Mount Dora, FL with a funeral service at 11 a.m.

Interment will immediately follow at Pine Forest Cemetery in Mount Dora, FL.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be sent to the Spina Bifida foundation in Melbourne FL or to Cornerstone Hospice.

The family invites everyone to join them for a Reception following the services at Imperial Terrace Clubhouse in Tavares, FL.
