Wilfredo Olayvar Justimbaste

Born on the 10th of September 1943 to Timoteo Justimbaste and Maria Olayvar. He grew up with his siblings +Nenita J. Maunes, Luz J. Regis, Alex F. Justimbaste. The mischievous and happy go lucky little boy from Sogod, Southern Leyte graduated top of his class and became a college professor then a Press Relations Officer in Cebu City, Philippines. He was also proud to be the Senior Citizen President of Maasin City, So. Leyte.

Willy J., as he was fondly called by friends and colleagues, was a talented host, radio broadcaster and newspaper columnist. He was also a theater actor, singer and writer in the local scene during his younger years. Prior to his passing, he was envisioning a play for the History of Limasawa, So. Leyte inspired by the well renowned musical play of Hamilton. Indeed, he was a man of many talents with a gift for making words come to life.

To his family, he was a man of few words. He was a good father, father in-law, brother, uncle and grandfather who lead by example. He was our "Tatay Wi". He will be missed by his family especially his children Wyndon Justimbaste, Wayne Theo Justimbaste, Wylla Marie Justimbaste-Guantero, Wynette Jo Justimbaste-Geonzon and their respective spouses. Tatay Wi was loved and adored by his precious grandchildren John Daniel, Josh Gabrielle, Julianna Carmel, Juan Miguel, Winona, Parker Lee, Will, Natalie Gwynn, and Sofia Marie. The family is comforted with the thoughts of the much anticipated reunion with his beautiful wife, Wachita Demeterio Justimbaste "Nanay Yetyet" in heaven. He passed away on December 18, 2018 in Tavares, Florida due to hemorrhagic stroke.

Please join us in celebration of Willy J's life on December 21, 2018 starting at 3:00 pm followed by a memorial service scheduled for 5:15pm at Allen J . Harden Funeral home 1800 N. Donnelly St. Mount Dora, Florida 32757.
