illiam Kerr (Bill) Woodrow of Centennial, Colorado was born November 30, 1944 in Oneonta, New York and died peacefully in his home with family by his side in Centennial, Colorado on September 5, 2022.
Bill was an avid golfer and loved the outdoors, including long walks on the Colorado trails, summers spent on Lake George, New York boating with his family, and skiing during east coast winters, where the family all learned to ski together. He celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary just before COVID hit with his wife, children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. He enjoyed dipping his feet in the water and watching his grandkids play.
Bill graduated from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, and continued contacts with several classmates until his death. Following high school, he attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Bill and his wife, Mary, moved to Richmond, Virginia where he began his career with Hartford Insurance. While he was there, he served for six years in the Petersburg National Guard Unit where he attained the rank of First Sargent (E7). With successive work promotions, Bill and his family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and then to the company headquarters in Hartford, Connecticut where they raised their two children. He accepted a job transfer to Littleton, Colorado to become the Regional Vice President of the Denver, Colorado office where he retired 35 years later.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Woodrow, his two children, Elizabeth Cirelli and Matthew Woodrow, son-in-law, Michael Cirelli, daughter-in-law, Florence Chretien, grandchildren Jaqueline Woodrow, Maximillian Woodrow, and James Temple, and many other friends and family who loved him dearly. The funeral will be a graveside service held on October 11, 2022 at 11:00am at the Pine Forest Cemetery in Mount Dora, Florida with the Allen J. Harden Funeral Home in charge.
